Backpacker Directory is a free resource for backpackers, digital nomads and long-term travellers. It brings together the things travellers keep asking each other about in hostels and group chats: where to find work, which routes are worth it, which local businesses are traveller-friendly, and what is happening in town this week.
Who is behind it
Backpacker Directory is run by Tony, a British English teacher, writer and content creator who has spent years living and working on the road — from Barcelona to Southeast Asia. His YouTube channel, Backpacker TT, shares real travel from Spain, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and beyond. The site is part of Online Business Awareness, which also runs the free English learning site I Learn English Here.

Our standards
Every listing and event is checked by a person before it appears on the site. We write from real experience, we say when information may be out of date, and we always tell you when a link is an affiliate link. If you spot something wrong, please tell us.
